Founded in 2017 by the Pino Almeyda brothers, Roberto and Carlos, Arte & Crimen gained immediate recognition when, that same year, it received the Young Creatives Award, presented by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, for its short commercial film “Nosotras.” This milestone would forever change the creative path of its founders.
In 2019, Roberto began filming his first feature-length true crime documentary, “Todos Somos Culpables”, a film that addresses the killing of a civilian by agents of the Chilean State, just a few meters from his home in the city of Talcahuano. Roberto followed the case closely: as a criminal lawyer, he worked directly on the case and, to this day, represents the protagonists before international justice. The film is currently in the editing stage and is projected for release in 2027.
Likewise, in 2025, Carlos directed his first feature film, “Me he visto morir mil veces”, starring Russian-born actor Konstantine. The film tells the story of a man condemned to endlessly relive the day of his death as a form of infernal punishment. Carlos is currently in pre-production for his second work.
Arte & Crimen also develops other types of content, such as music videos and commercials. Its latest work was the music video for “Don’t Fuck It Again” by the Canadian band ZOKALO.
